Day #5

Image
We spent the day exploring Taormina and Catania, starting with a visit to the Teatro Antico di Taormina and some free time around town with a local guide. Later in Catania, we walked through the city with another guide and learned about its history and culture, especially its connection to Mount Etna!   Hailey & Olivia

Day #4

Image
We arrived in Sicily excited to start the day, then we got on a bus and went to Palermo. In Palermo, we saw the cathedral of Monreale which was huge! And after that we walked around touring various other places. We saw the capella palantina, the palazzo dei normanni, and the Palermo cathedral. Afterwards there was free time to explore so we ate at a fun restaurant and got gelato! Overall the day was very good. Aven, Rhianna, Reed, Paxton

Day #3

Image
Today we had an early morning, leaving our first hotel in Rome. We visited the beautiful ornate church St. Peter’s Basilica and the iconic Vatican Museum. We saw the Sistine Chapel and then hopped on the bus for a few hours of down time as we traveled to Naples to board an overnight ferry to Sicily. Serena, Raven, Finley, Reese

Day 2

Morning light in Rome spilled across the stone, As narrow streets and fountains slowly woke. Camera in hand, we wandered out alone, Following stories every corner spoke. Through quiet alleys on our photo tour, Past scooters humming softly through the square, Each frame we took tried to capture something more— The golden light, the laughter in the air. Then towering high where ancient echoes roam, We stood before the mighty Colosseum , Its weathered walls like pages carved in stone, A place where centuries still seem to bloom. The sun climbed high, our footsteps growing slow, So we found a table on a lively street. Plates arrived with food that seemed to glow— Warm bread, rich pasta, something simple, sweet. As evening painted rooftops red and gold, Our cameras full, our feet a little sore, We carried home the memories we’d hold— A perfect day in Rome, and so much more. ✨📷🍝 -Axel, David, Thomas Pictures are coming- access has been rough

First Day in Rome

Image
We made it! A few scares, but we figured it all out and have landed in Rome! When we got out of our fun time at the airport. We were able to see the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and the Pantheon. We were all exhausted, we headed back to our hotel and crashed for the night.

Last Day!

Image
This was our last day in Barcelona! We started rhe day off by going to la Sagrada de Familia. The stained glass showing the seasons was a highlight for our group. After the church we took a walking/bus tour of the city. We went up to the park Güell where Gaudi the architect of the church lived at the time. During the free time since the weather was nice all day we went to the beach and swam! The last thing of the day was dinner. We really enjoyed the tapas for dinner with gelato for dessert! Great last day in Spain!! Written by: Gianna, Morgan, Keira and Emma We are on our way home, see you tomorrow.

Day #10

Today was our 10th day on the trip! We departed from Valencia this morning at 8:00am and drove to Barcelona, where we had a full day set out for us.  When we arrived we went to a traditional market filled with every sort of food and sweet imaginable. We spent 30 minutes there and then left for our biking tour! Our biking tour was 2 hours long and we biked along the coast of Barcelona, saw statues of Christopher Columbus and famous architecture. After biking we split into our groups and had free time for dinner and shopping.  At 7:00 we returned to the bus and made it to our hotel for the evening where we will be staying for two nights!  Sincerely,  Barcelona Travelers- Maggie, Holly, Benson and Trevor
